About Me
Hi, I'm Francesca, aka Frankie (they/them), MA, LPC. I'm a licensed therapist, artist, and deeply curious person who believes therapy can be meaningful without feeling clinical or rigid.
I created Wild Fern because I wanted to build the kind of therapy practice I believe in — one that feels human, creative, flexible, and grounded in genuine connection. A space where there is room for depth and humor, difficult conversations and practical problem-solving, reflection and experimentation.
My path to becoming a therapist has always existed alongside my life as an artist. I understand creativity not only as a form of expression, but as a way of making meaning, processing experience, taking risks, and discovering new possibilities. That perspective deeply shapes how I approach therapy. You do not need to consider yourself an artist or a creative person to work with me, but curiosity is always welcome here.
I earned my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado, where my training was grounded in mindfulness, self-awareness, and a holistic understanding of the therapeutic relationship. My approach also draws from Gestalt therapy, creative and experiential practices, and practical tools that support meaningful change in everyday life.
Who I Work With
People tend to come to me at a point of transition or change — feeling stuck, navigating ADHD or anxiety, moving through grief, questioning what comes next, navigating changes in their relationships, exploring identity or spirituality, or wanting to reconnect with a sense of meaning and direction.
I work with artists, musicians, performers, and other creative people, as well as those who may not consider themselves creative at all. I have also worked extensively with LGBTQIA2S+ clients and with couples and partners across a wide range of relationship structures and experiences.
The people I work with often want more than simply getting through the week. They want to understand themselves more deeply, communicate more honestly, build confidence, strengthen their relationships, reconnect with creativity, and create lives that feel more authentic and alive — and often, that work is curious, creative, and asks them to look a little deeper than they expected to.
I offer a free 15-minute consultation because I think fit matters as much in therapy as anywhere else. It's a chance for you to get a feel for how I work, ask questions, and see whether this feels like the right space for you — no pressure either way.
